The tennis courts are a pleasant five minute walk from the Jubilee Hotel. The climate is perfect for tennis except in the snowy months between January and April. The Troodos Open Tennis Tournament is held in early August.
Skiing in Troodos
The Jubilee Hotel is the nearest hotel to the ski slopes (an easy ten minute drive). Ski-ing is usually possible between January and April. There are 4 runs of increasing difficulty for all standards. Sun Valley 1 and Sun Valley 2 for beginners, Hera for intermediates and North Face which is a Black Run. Equipment is available at Sun Valley, the easiest run. An instructor may also be booked there any day of the week.
Cycling
Another hobby growing in popularity is mountain biking. With many tracks and trails ideally suited for exploring by bike and an increasing number of routes created specially for cyclists, those looking to explore the mountains ‘faster than their feet can carry them’ are guaranteed a great time.
Bicycles are available for hire at the hotel at a rate of £10 per day or £5 per half day.
Rambling/Hiking
The combination of gentle slopes, challenging mountain pathways and breathtaking scenery make the Troodos mountains ideal for the committed hiker and social walker alike. Many clearly-marked nature trails can be found in the mountains with signposts giving details on local points of interest.
